Valorant New Patch Brings Smoke Noise Feature. Sparks Debate Among Gamers
Riot Games always ensures that Valorant keeps updating with time. However, these players aren't very happy with the new updates.
The new BGMI PBE patch 7.08 of Valorant has divided players into two factions. Reason? Smoke will now make noises at the end of a smoke. Specifically, Astra, Brimstone, and Omen's smoke abilities now emit both audio and visual cues for 1.5 seconds before dissipating, aimed at providing clarity to the gameplay.
Whatever the intentions of Riot Games may have been, this small Quality of Life change in the game has sparked a debate among the players. Some of the players are calling out developers for lowering the skill gap between pro and new players.
Valorant 2023 Champions winner EG Boostio said, “Bad change tbh. People need to learn the game to this level at least." This tweet was a reply to G2 JoshRT who is the favour of the changes.
According to Josh, the change will help the new players understand game mechanics better, and lower-rank games will be more enjoyable.
Reminder to everyone: Riot is just following their usual M.O. of lowering the skill floor to make playing at lower ranks more enjoyable and easier.

You still need to call out smoke timings at the pro level but it's less punishing now https://t.co/T5ngDJCQf4
A lot of players are complaining that the game will be aim-dominated and the smoke players who have learned the timings and calls will get weak due to this change.

Premier Updates
Premier Playoffs Tournament Queue Changes: The Playoffs Tournament Queue is now only 15 minutes instead of 1 hour. If you don’t queue up and stay queued within the 15-minute window, your team will not be able to play in the Tournament.
At the end of the waiting period, all teams that are still in the queue will be matched at one time into evenly distributed brackets seeded by Premier Score.
This change ensures that having a better regular season record gives you a higher seeding in your tournament.
