Sony State of Play: New details about Final Fantasy 7, Kena, Returnal, Deathloop, and more out

Sony Interactive Entertainment just held its February 2021 State of Play Livestream presentation last night. As part of the presentation, the company made several new announcements regarding upcoming games. In addition, the company also showed new trailers, gameplay videos, and other information about the upcoming titles. Sony live-streamed the 48-minute long presentation last night to share new information around several much-awaited titles. This list of titles includes Final Fantasy 7 remake for the PlayStation 5, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Returnal, and Oddworld. It also includes Crash Bandicoot 4, Knockout City, Sifu, Solar Ash, and Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach. Sony State of Play February 2021 out, here are all the announcements

The highlight of the State of Play live stream is likely the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Sony stated that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Intergrade will release on June 10 on PlayStation 5. We also got to know that PS4 users with the title can get a free PS5 upgrade as soon as they upgrade to the latest generation console. The PS5 version of the title will also come with a new story episode that features Yuffie. Moving to Kena: Bridge of Spirits, we got a new trailer as well as a launch date for August 24.

Viewers also got a deep dive on Returnal outlining the gameplay as well as the story. It is set to launch on April 30, 2021. State of Play presentation also shared more gameplay and plot details regarding Oddworld: Soulstorm. The game will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on April 6, 2021. In fact, the game will land on PlayStation Plus so subscribers can add it to their library without purchase.

The presentation also showcased Crash Bandicoot 4, one of the much-awaited titles set to launch on March 12, 2021. Some of the technical highlights of the game include 4K at 60FPS, 3D audio support, faster loading times, and more. We also got a deep-dive on Knockout City along with a cross-play beta. The game is set to launch on PS4 on May 21 with backward compatibility for the PlayStation 5. This showcase also included a Kung Fu title, Sifu, Solar Ash, Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, and a James Bond-style trailer for Deathloop.
