Is the horror franchise of all times, the Silent Hill series set to return? Konami has announced a massive reveal event for new updates on the series. Here's everything you need to know.

After ten long years, there’s news on the Silent Hill franchise, once again. The long hiatus, triggered by some unfortunate series of events, has thus come to an end. We can now expect new Silent Hill game(s) coming soon. Konami, creators of the iconic horror franchise, has announced a reveal event scheduled this week. Here are the latest updates on Silent Hill.

Silent Hill- Latest Update details

Konami announced a few hours back today, that a massive reveal event has been organized for the Silent Hill series. The news that dropped via their official Twitter handle, has already received a warm response. Konami is organizing a Silent Hill Transmission event this Wednesday, October 20th, at 2:30 am IST. They’ve mentioned that “The latest updates for the SILENT HILL series, will be revealed during the #SILENTHILL Transmission”.

A new website has now been created for Silent Hill, which the Twitter post redirects to. We have the first poster for this new phase of Silent Hill that is to come on the website. Though it is very simple and basic, with just the title inscribed in an eerie font, it does look like the beginning of something new. The website also includes a tab for the archives of the complete Silent Hill series.

What are we expecting?

Well, new games surely seem to be on the line, as Director Christophe Gans was earlier caught mentioning “several games in development” with the “Silent Team”. Gans himself is working on a Silent Hill movie, and as per speculations, he seemed to have also confirmed a Silent Hill 2 Remake, and a revival of the franchise coming soon as well.

At the same time, Masahiro Ito, best known for being the designer of the Silent Hill games, has also retweeted the Silent Hill Transmission event tweet. Does that mean he’s on board too? We’ll keep you posted as soon as news surfaces on that front. Till then, stay tuned to India Today Gaming.
