This is a moment of cheer for Minecraft fans, as Warner Bros. has released the first trailer of "A Minecraft Movie," which will be released in April 2025.

The movie is directed by Jared Hess, who has also directed Napoleon Dynamite, Don Verdean, Nacho Libre, and Gentlemen Broncos.
A Minecraft Movie Cast
Jack Black will play Steve, the expert Digger in Minecraft. Jack Black has also worked in several movies based on games such as Jumanji: The Next Level, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and Borderlands.
Other actors including Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Coolidge, Jason Momoa as well as Sebastian Eugene Hansen are also cast in this movie.
In the trailer, Black's character makes a bold statement, saying, "Anything you can dream about here, you can make." In a humorous moment, Black declares, "I… am Steve," which elicits groans from his fellow crew members.
Minecraft was initially developed by Mojang Studios which was later taken over by Microsoft. The game was launched in 2011. Since its launch, Minecraft has been popular among children and teenagers.
The movie will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures worldwide and Legendary East in China. It will hit the theatres and in North America on April 4, 2025. Other countries will get to see the movie on April 2, 2025.
