Game publisher Krafton has just revealed some new information around its upcoming smartphone game, PUBG: New State. This new announcement comes just days after the company first teased the closed alpha testing for the upcoming game. The company noted that it will open the game to an extremely limited number of players for testing next month. It shared a teaser for the announcement along with a new trailer for the game. In addition, Krafton also opened the applications for the alpha testing of the PUBG: New State. PUBG: New State closed alpha testing applications start; details
The first thing to note about the closed alpha testing for the game is that it will only be available on Android. Second, this alpha test will only be available for interested players in the United States. One can head to the PUBG: New State website to sign-up for the limited program. Players can also pre-register for the game on Google Play Store for a potential spot in the alpha program. The applications for the alpha testing will be open till June 6. Once Krafton closes the applications, the alpha testing will be available from June 11 till June 13.
As part of the alpha testing, the company is likely looking to gather feedback from players. It will use this feedback to further tweak, refine, and develop the game. For some context, the alpha stage of development comes before software releases the beta version of the program. This means that a public Beta for PUBG: New State is still weeks, if not months away. It is worth noting that Krafton has not released any information around the formal launch of the game. This information around the alpha testing comes months after the company first announced the game on the global stage.
Looking at the new 36 seconds “Cinematic Teaser”, the company teases some of the gameplay elements that one can expect including drones. The trailer also included a text asking players to “Take on a new Battleground beyond Battle Royale”. However, the company did indicate that it plans to bring the game to India in the alpha testing announcement video.
