Naturally, that wasn’t all. So in case you missed it, here are all the important game announcements, trailers and more that you need to know about, from the latest Sony State of Play.
God of War: Ragnarok
Though the show closed with this new trailer for Ragnarok, we can only imagine the craze the game has amassed two months before its launch. And therefore, here’s the trailer, check it out yourself.
Clearly, the game delves deeper into the story that Ragnarok is all about. The chemistry of Kratos and Atreus too has visibly changed from God of War (2018). Atreus has become more protective of his father, and is in ways, seeking his own identity.
Additionally, PlayStation has also revealed a limited edition, God of War Ragnarok-themed DualSense Controller. It features two wolves symbolizing Kratos and Atreus. It launched on 11th September and is now available for purchase.
Tekken 8
After the earlier tease from August, Tekken 8 got its first official trailer, fortunately much before The Game Awards. After 7 long years, a new Tekken is finally coming. State of Play opened with a new 2 minutes long trailer, showing a battle sequence between Kazuya and Jin Kazama. Clearly, Kazuya now has some serious concern, with Jin tapping into his Devil alter ego, but does that mean the movesets for Jin won’t be separate anymore? I guess we'll find out soon enough.
