Xbox Series X FPS Boost feature expands to more games

Microsoft has also expanded the list of games that offer FPS Boost on Xbox Series X and Series S. The feature first made its way to the latest gen Xbox consoles in February 2021 with five titles. This new announcement brings this feature to about 70 more titles. The expansion comes just a week after the company added this feature to 13 titles.

For some context, FPS Boost offers higher frame rates to older games running on the latest hardware. This means that players can play older games at 120 or 60fps after FPS Boost feature support. Two of the titles from the list, Steep and MotoGP only offer FPS Boost on Xbox Series S instead of Series X. Most of the games that FPS Boost are available on Xbox Game Pass and EA Play subscription.

The latest set of games to receive FPS Boost support include Dirt 4, Alien Isolation, Assassin’s Creed 3, Assassin’s Creed Rogue, Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection. Microsoft also noted that 20 titles of the 97 currently require users to reduce the display resolution for higher frame rates. The company has ensured that these titles have the feature turned off by default.
