Activision Blizzard has made their latest Call of Duty game’s multiplayer mode free-to-play for a weekend, giving new players a chance to experience it, hoping newer players get engaged and buy the best-selling Call of Duty game in history.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer is going free-to-play for the upcoming weekend. Players around the globe can hop on to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer and try their hands on it from December 15 to 19. You can find out below when the mode goes free-to-play in your region and when the period ends.

Even if players aren’t looking to play with the intention of potentially buying it, it can still serve as a fun weekend for gamers to hop on Call of Duty with friends.
Multiplayer modes available during free access
During this free weekend play, players will get to check out various multiplayer modes like Team Deathmatch (6v6), Hardpoint, Domination and Kill Confirmed. Furthermore, players can experience each of these games in the newly-introduced third-person mode.

Each of these modes can be played on three different maps. Farm 18, Shipment and El Asilo are those three playable maps. El Asilo and Farm 18 were released on launch day whereas Shipment is the brand-new map which was released on Wednesday when Modern Warfare 2’s Season 1 Reloaded update dropped.

Here’s when the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer free access goes live:
December 15 at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 6 pm GMT. That’s December 15 at 11:30 pm in India.
The free access period will end at the same time on December 19 for all regions.
