Call of Duty August 28 Update: MW3 & Warzone Patch Fixes, C4 Removal, JAK Deathmarch Disabled
Discover the key changes in the Call of Duty August 28 update for Modern Warfare 3 & Warzone, including bug fixes, the removal of C4 from Ranked Resurgence, and the temporary disabling of the JAK Deathmarch for the BAL-27.
While Call of Duty fans are gearing up for the CoD Next livestreams, there’s also a new update for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone dropping today. It's a big update, though most of it is focused on bug fixes rather than fresh content.
The main highlight of the August 28 update is the temporary disabling of the new Aftermarket Part, the JAK Deathmarch for the BAL-27, due to an issue. Even though you can unlock it through new challenges today, it’s not usable in Warzone just yet.
Another change is the removal of C4 from the Warzone Ranked Resurgence playlist, so if you're jumping into Ranked Play, be sure to update your loadouts, or you might end up without a lethal option in Rebirth Island.
Additionally, a bug affecting the JAK Gunslinger Aftermarket Part for the Basilisk hand cannon has been fixed. This bug caused players to lose firing ability after canceling a reload animation, which should no longer be an issue.
Beyond that, the update mainly addresses smaller bugs for both MW3 and Warzone. Make sure to download the hefty 34.55 GB patch on PS5 before catching the CoD Next action. For all the nitty-gritty details, you can check out the full patch notes on the CoD website.
