World Esports Championship set to start on 1st December; India will participate in CS:GO, Tekken 7 and eFootball

The 14th Edition of the International Esports Federation’s (IESF) World Esports Championship is all set to start in another three days. eSports professionals representing countries from around the world will be seeing each other off from December 1st till December 12th. Titles featured in the tournament are CS: GO, DOTA 2, Tekken 7, eFootball, PUBG Mobile, and Mobile Legends. India is a participating country, with the support of the Esports Federation of India (ESFI). The Indian contingent will be taking over this international stage in Bali, Indonesia for CS: GO, Tekken 7, and eFootball. Tournaments, Titles, Schedule, and other details

The various tournaments will be held in different stages of Play-Ins, Finals, and Grand Finals. India will begin its journey in the 14th World Esports Championship on 2nd December with an opener in CS: GO. In the CS: GO Play-In stage, the Indian contingent has been placed in Group C, with Tajikistan, Chile, and Team IESF. Its first match is scheduled against Tajikistan on 2nd December, 8:10 am IST. Contingents

The Indian contingent for CS: GO comprises of skipper Ritesh Sarda (Defaulter), Shuvajyoti Chakraborty (Mcg1LLzZz), Anshul Adarkar (KiiLSwitCh), Hrishikesh Shenoy (Crazy_Gamer) and Harsh Jain (lynx). This CS: GO team will be representing India two times in a row in World Esports Championship. They finished eighth place in the 13th edition of the IESF, which was held in Eilat, Israel. 

Additionally, for Tekken 7, India will be represented by Hitesh Khorwal (Rcool), and by Hemanth Kommu (Peshemak 7) for eFootball 2023. 

The World Esports Championship this year has a prize pool of $500,000, which is a massive jump from last year’s $55,000. Naturally, we can expect stiffer competition and some intense action. To witness this, you can tune in to the official Twitch channel of IESF at iesf_tv
