Team X Spark's Epic Comeback: From playing in-game qualifiers to BGIS 2024 Champions

On January 7, 2024, Team X Spark announced its roster for BGIS 2024, featuring NinjaJod, Sarang, Spraygod, and Shadow, with Osmium as their coach. At the beginning of the year, the team's performance was decent, leaving fans unsure about their chances of reaching the finals.

Team X Spark was invited to The Grind of BGIS 2024, which included 256 teams divided into 16 groups. Each group played 3 matches over 2 weeks. After these 2 weeks, the teams were reshuffled into new groups for another 2 weeks of matches. The top 64 teams, based on cumulative standings, advanced to the next rounds. Unfortunately, Team X Spark failed to qualify through The Grind, disappointing their fans.

Despite this setback, Team X Spark stayed hopeful and focused on the in-game qualifiers. They passed these qualifiers and restarted their BGIS journey. In the first group stage, they easily qualified for the next round. In round 2, they were in group 3 and secured a victory with 26 finishes in a chicken dinner, rekindling fan excitement.

Team X Spark continued to work hard and successfully qualified for the semi-finals without needing to play in the wildcard round. In the Semi-finals, week 1, they entered with confidence and topped the leaderboard for the first 3 days. On the second day, Spraygod achieved a solo 10-kill WWCD (Winner Winner Chicken Dinner), thrilling fans with the team's comeback and dominance. Team X Spark finished 3rd in the Semi-finals, securing their spot in the LAN Finals in Hyderabad.

Everyone knew that Team X Spark would be a force to reckon with after their comeback. When BGIS The Grind ended, fans and rival teams doubted Team X Spark's chances, with some even trolling them. However, on the first day of the Finals, the team showed their determination to win the trophy. Over the 3 days of finals, every single player of Team X Spark performed exceptionally well, demonstrating that consistency and teamwork can overcome any situation. Each player was among the top 10 Fraggers of the BGIS Finals.

The last match of the Finals was crucial for the team, but they were eliminated early by Team Soul. Despite this, they had a good lead in points over the second-place team, Global Esports. If Global Esports had won the chicken dinner with at least 7 kills, Team X Spark would not have won the trophy. However, Aaru Gaming disrupted Global Esports' plans, allowing Team X Spark to secure their victory. After the final match, it was clear that Team X Spark had won the biggest BGMI tournament of the year. Scout was in tears of happiness and credited the team's success to their coach, Osmium.

This tournament was more than just a competition; it was a historical journey for Team X Spark, rising from rock bottom to sky high. Last year, they finished 3rd, but this time they conquered the tournament.
