Krafton, the company behind PUBG Studio has just shared some new information around its popular Battle Royale game, PUBG Mobile. This latest set of information includes the details about the third stage of the PUBG Mobile version 1.2. PUBG Studio is planning to test the beta version for the PUBG Mobile 1.2 before rolling out the stable version to the public. It also shared information about taking part in the beta test. In addition, the company also shared details around the new content that is coming with the upcoming version. Here is everything we know about the PUBG Mobile version 1.2 beta.
PUBG Mobile version 1.2 beta details out
PUBG Studio noted that it has opened the version 1.2 beta for “up to 20,000” users. This update comes with new content including the power armor and the “Runic Power Theme” gameplay. This added content is currently live in the test server as part of the third stage of the beta test. It is likely that the beta slots are already out for interested players. One can still check the availability of the test slots in the “Events” tab on the global version of the game. PUBG Mobile has added this “Test Server” in the “Recommended” section under the “Events” tab. As part of the process, players need to generate a code and then use it to join the test server.
It is worth noting that the interested players need to download the test servers to test-drive the beta. PUBG Studio has also added some base-line requirements to ensure that the players are eligible for testing. Looking at the details, players need to have logged into the global server with a “non-guest account” for more than one day in the last 7 days. In addition, they need to have logged in “more than 3 days within the last 30 days”. Finally, players should also have at least level 15 or more to test-drive the beta.
PUBG Studio also noted that the beta testers should not share the link with other players. The game studio will ban the global account of the player who ends up sharing the link as it is against the beta program rules. The test version is currently available for iOS and Android. However, it is unlikely that PUBG Mobile players in India would be able to test-drive the beta. This is because the company is yet to launch its much-anticipated specialized version of the game called PUBG Mobile India.
PUBG India gets a new India head
Talking about the PUBG Mobile India re-launch, Krafton recently appointed a new country manager for India. As per the information available, Aneesh Aravind, an ex-Tencent and Zynga executive will lead PUBG India. The rest of the team includes Karan Pathak as the Senior eSports manager, Arpita Priyadarshini as the Senior Community Manager, and more. Though the company is likely working hard for the relaunch of the game, there is little progress in the matter. As noted in the past, we are unsure about the timeline for the relaunch of the game.
