PUBG Mobile 2.0 likely coming soon; details
Past reports have already outlined that Krafton is working on a PC and console version of PUBG Mobile 2.0. Looking back, South Korean news outlets stated that the company was calling the PC and console version of the upcoming game “Battle Ground 2”. These reports also stated that the game was likely set in the future with different elements from the current game. Now, let’s focus on the latest leak that provides some new information around PUBG Mobile 2.0.
According to a tweet from the Twitter account PlayerIGN, PUBG Mobile 2.0 “may” launch next week. The game will be set in the year 2051 and it comes with a new map. Considering the futuristic setting (that reaffirms the past reports), the game will also feature a “futuristic style” with a heavy focus on gadgets. The tweet also outlined that the game will launch both on Android as well as iOS versions. It is possible that Krafton may announce this new version at the PUBG Global Invitational.S 2021 or PGI.S next week. The tweet stated that the initial set of information first surfaced on Weibo and this is merely a translated version of the Weibo post.
The tweet also comes with three images where the first seems like a photo-shopped poster for the game. The second image seems like the screenshot of the original Weibo post while the third could likely be the real deal. However, the source notes that the two images beyond the screenshot are not official. Talking about an India launch for the game, it is likely that we may not get to play the game. This is because we have already seen several statements from the Indian government about their position about the PUBG Mobile relaunch.
