Orangutan Esports Strengthens Roster with Ex-Aaru Gaming Players, Eyes Trophy
In this mid-phase of rumors of lineup changes in the Indian Gaming Community, it was revealed by the sources that Attanki, Aaru, and Veyron who were playing in Aaru Gaming in BGIS are joining Orangutan which is an esports organization.
After many years, for the first time, this organization is making such big changes. Although one of the officials from this organization said in a podcast that they are trying to make a storyline out of their lineup, everyone thought that this lineup would not be discontinued. However, after the elimination of their lineup from BGIS Round 3, they announced the farewell of Ash, Driger, and their coach Vedzz. These players proved themselves in the past but the fact that they were not even qualified for the Round 4 made the officials make this decision.
They came in 18th position in BGIS the Grind where they were invited and directly qualified to Round 3 for BGIS 2024. However, they came 6th in Round 3 where they were supposed to come in the top 3 for the next round. The other option they’ve left with was the top 16 eliminated teams from Round 3 who will play wildcards. However, they were not in those top 16 teams and their journey of BGIS 2024 ended. This was a shocking moment for the fans and the Indian Gaming Community.
However, Aaru Gaming made it to the finals without any organization or sponsors showed the actual potential of their players. They came in 12th position in the BGIS Finals and Aaru showed his true caliber till the last match where he made GE not win the tournament.
In an interview with India Today Gaming, when we asked why he was not playing under any organization, he replied “In the last BGIS, we had a sponsor but BGIS and BMPS are two connected tournaments. If you do not have a stable organization, then I would recommend you to play BGIS without any organization because the ownership of the BMPS slot will go to the organization not the players.”
Considering this statement, we can see the same situation with ex-Vasista players who might not get a slot in BMPS as Vasista Esports holds the ownership. We hope that these players who made Vasista to the finals will get a slot.
On the other side, we can see how deadly the new Orangutan lineup looks, three hungry players for the trophy who played BGIS Finals and the two who faced backlash in the early phase of the tournament are ready to conquer the coming tournaments.
The conclusion is that Orangutan has made a wise move by securing these players in their organization. The coming days will be very intense for the Indian Gaming Community.
