Video game giant Electronic Arts (EA) has just announced the release date for the remastered version of a game. As per the announcement, the company announced the anticipated remaster of Need for Speed (NFS) Hot Pursuit. The game will land on PC, Microsoft Xbox One, and Sony PS4 on November 6. A week after the launch, it will also make its way to Nintendo Switch. Looking at the information, the new launch comes just about 10 years after the launch of the original version. For some context, the original launched on November 16, 2010. We were hoping if the company could match the launch date of the remaster with the original.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit announced; details

The announcement for the launch comes after multiple cryptic teasers on social media. Rewinding the clock, the game allowed players to either play as a racer or police with a dedicated “Career” mode. EA also revealed that the game is now available for pre-order on multiple platforms. Inspecting the prices, PC gamers can pre-order the game for Rs 1,999 from Steam or EA Origin. Xbox One or potential Series X/S buyers can get the game for Rs 2,500 from Microsoft Store. It is also available for Rs 2,499 on PlayStation Store. Finally, Nintendo Switch users will need to shell out or about Rs 3,000.

As part of the announcement, the company also shared an announcement trailer on its social media handles. Looking at the video, we saw a somewhat mock video showcasing rivalry between two gamers about achieving the fastest lap. The teaser video spent the time focusing on the lap time of 5:10 (or 5 minutes and 10 seconds). EA is also marketing its Need for Speed Hot Pursuit around a similar campaign of beating 5:10. You can watch the trailer here.

Some aspects of the remastered game include the usual visual upgrades, higher-resolution models, more objects, long draw distance, and more. We also get cross-platform support along with more achievements, improved photo mode, and more. Last but not least, Stellar Entertainment studio worked to remaster Need for Speed Hot Pursuit.
