India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) Dev Day hits 7 Indian cities

The Developer Day will be held in Delhi (8th May) followed by Pune (14th May), Ahmedabad (17th May), Kolkata (22nd May), Guwahati  (24th May), Chennai (28th May), and Cochin  (30th May) along with an Xsolla Forward Night in Bangalore.

The India Game Developer Conference (IGDC), the preeminent game industry event in South Asia, proudly announces its expansion of Developer Day to seven Indian cities. This significant development shows IGDC's commitment to cultivating a robust, inclusive game development ecosystem. 

Following a successful run in Kochi, Chennai, and Guwahati in 2023, this year Developer Day is taking place across seven Indian cities including Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Cochin, Chennai, Guwahati, and Kolkata, along with an exclusive Xsolla forward night in Bangalore providing a platform for game developers and industry leaders to connect, upskill and showcase their gaming prowess.

This strategic expansion empowers IGDC to serve India's game development landscape more effectively. Developers will now benefit from the opportunity to connect with other developers and industry leaders within closer proximity, fostering collaboration and innovation across the country. In a display of industry-wide commitment, Nazara Technologies returns as the Diamond sponsor with Xsolla, Com2Us Platform, and MPL as Gold Sponsors. PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, STPI, MESC, Kerala StartUp Mission, UID, MIT WPU, and K-Tech join the event as associate sponsors.

In conjunction with this announcement, the event will be introducing the Game Developers Association of India (GDAI), the formation of an association to serve as a powerful advocate for the interests of game developers on legislative, regulatory, and industry matters. GDAI will further empower its members by offering educational resources, and professional development opportunities, and promoting ethical and responsible game development practices.

Further solidifying its commitment to progress, IGDC will be announcing - The IGDC Women in Games initiative which is an initiative to foster a more welcoming environment for women in the gaming industry, this program will provide targeted opportunities to attract and retain female talent and bridge the gap. The initiative will ensure a safe and supportive space for all aspiring game developers, regardless of gender.
