Let’s check out everything new that we know regarding Hitman 3 from IO Interactive here.

Hitman 3: Latest console upgrades, raytracing, and more, details

The developer shared a dedicated post on its website to highlight most of the information that we are talking about. The rest of the information was present in the teaser video that the company shared on its social channels. Digging deeper, the company confirmed that players will be able to enjoy Hitman 3 in 4K at 60fps. In addition, the game will also support HDR on the latest consoles including Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. They will also get the benefit of playing some locations Hitman and Hitman 2 at the same quality. This is because the developer stated that it can import all the stages in Hitman 3.

IO Interactive also noted that it has teamed up with Intel to craft the best possible game with top-notch performance and optimizations. Gamers on high-end systems will be able to ensure that the game uses more than 8-core CPUs. Hitman 3 will also use this extra horsepower to generate “more crowds” at the Dubai level and more complex in-game physics. It also shared that raytracing won’t be available at the launch of the game. Instead, the company will add support for raytracing in a future update post-launch for the PC version. We are not sure if this feature will also come to the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions. Other features coming to the game include Variable Rate Shading and more.

For some context, the game is set to launch on January 20, 2021, and it will be available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Series X, Series S, and Stadia. The company has already highlighted some other levels of the game including Dubai skyscraper, and Thornbridge Manor. We already know that the game will be exclusive to Epic Games Store for some time on PC before landing on other platforms.
