ESPL 2021 Group A Day 7 Round 2 concludes; top teams qualify for next round

ESports Premier League 2021 saw the completion of its day 7 of the Level 1 Group A Round 2 stage. The league is into its second round where the top teams from round 1 are competing to qualify for the next level. ESPL 2021 is a franchise-based league announced by India Today Gaming, the gaming and eSports division of India Today Group. The tournament features a massive prize pool of Rs 25,00,000 distributed among the top 8 teams in the grand finals scheduled to be held on 29th August 2021.

ESPL 2021 Level 1 Group A Round 2

The top teams from the previous stage competed in round 2 of the ESPL 2021 Level 1 Group A stage. Each team will play a total of two matches in round 2 of the league. The matches will be played in Bermuda and Purgatory maps. An overall standing will be created considering the points of both matches. The top teams from the overall standings will qualify for the next round.

Level 1 Group A Round 2 Match Overview

Team Icon stood first in the overall standings in the R2M7 round with a total of 65 points including the 32 kills points. Power Broker and Dreams come true finished at the second and third position respectively in the overall standings. In the second group matches, Team LC finished at the number one stop after the completion of two matches. The team secured a total of 96 points in the overall standings. The team took Booyah in the second map with 36 kills that helped them finish at the top of the table. AG Army finished at the second spot with a total of 56 points.

The R2M9 was won by LVL X-Factor with a total of 34 kills and 94 total points. The team completely dominated its group teams as they took Booyahs in both the matches. Team Hastag were the table toppers of the R2M10 round with a total of 104 points and 44 kill points. Generation X took the second spot with 69 points followed by Orange Rock with a total of 49 points. R2M11 was won by TaskForce with a total of 142 points and 85 kills. The last group of the day was won by Tamil Tubers TN with a total of 78 points followed by NEP-Brothers-01 with 71 points in the overall standings. Akash Gaming finished at the third spot with a total of 43 points.
