Diablo IV Beta begins this March; early access for players who have pre-ordered the game
Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the Open Beta for Diablo IV will kick off this March. Players who have pre-ordered the game will get early access to it.
Blizzard Entertainment has announced the dates for the Diablo IV Open Beta. The Open Beta will be accessible to all players on March 24 and will remain until March 26. Players who preordered the game will have early access to the Open Beta, which will run from March 17 to March 19. The Open Beta for Diablo IV will be available on Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
Diablo IV Open Beta provides a ‘deep look’ into the game
During this Diablo IV Open Beta, players will get an in-depth look at the early game. You will get to experience the Prologue and the rest of Act 1 with a level up to 25. However, the Beta progress will not be transferred to the actual game. Players who wish to pre-order Diablo IV and hence get early access to the Open Beta thereafter can order it here. Early access players' beta progress will be transferred between the two beta weekends.
Blizzard will be sharing more details for the Open Beta in a live stream on March 1 at 12:30 AM IST. Players can watch the live stream on Diablo’s Twitch account or at the YouTube channel of Diablo. At the end of the Beta period, Blizzard will be evaluating all the feedback received and make changes to the final game accordingly.
Joe Shely said in an interview with IGN that the beta version of the game consists of a ‘significant look at the game’ and that both the prologue and the first act take place in the ‘Fractured Peaks’ zone. Shely also revealed the cinematics for Diablo IV, which show off the game's first zone as well as the character customization options.
Players will need to have a Battle.net account to redeem their beta codes. The gamers must also note that they would not be able to spend real money to enhance their character's abilities.
Diablo IV is scheduled to release on June 6, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Players who purchase the ultimate or deluxe versions of Diablo IV will get early access to the game on June 2, 2023.
