Cyberpunk 2077 Board Game Shatters Crowdfunding Goal in 10 Minutes, Night City Comes to Life

A brand-new Cyberpunk 2077 board game has launched a crowdfunding campaign on GameFound and shattered its funding goal in mere minutes. Initially seeking $100,000, the campaign has already amassed nearly $1 million from over 4,500 backers, with 17 days remaining. Developed by Go On Board, the team behind The Witcher board games, Cyberpunk 2077 - The Board Game offers players an exciting, story-driven tactical action experience set in the world of Night City.

This board game allows 1–4 players to embody iconic characters from Cyberpunk 2077, including V, Panam, Jackie, and Judy. With sessions lasting an hour to an hour and a half, players will explore more than 30 hours of campaign gameplay along with countless missions originating from the infamous Afterlife nightclub. The game introduces a new story, branching off from the video game's events and altering a significant moment to create fresh narratives.

The game features five playable characters, 13 missions, 16 enemies, one boss, and an "Afterlife Mission Generator." Its beautiful design includes several mission boards, tiles, tokens, and 348 game cards, as well as a full-color, 30-page Night City Map book covering over 50 locations.

Thanks to the overwhelming success of the campaign, the first stretch goal has already been unlocked, adding the character Johnny Silverhand to the deluxe edition. More stretch goals will continue to be revealed to backers, though non-backers can still access these through paid expansions.

For fans who back the game on the first day, an exclusive miniature of V equipped with Mantis Blades is being offered alongside an ID card and two action cards. The standard edition of Cyberpunk 2077 - The Board Game will be priced at $79 upon release, while the deluxe edition, featuring additional components, will cost $139. With its early success, this board game is poised to be a major hit among Cyberpunk 2077 fans.
